New Delhi: Jr NTR’s much-anticipated film Devara Part 1 continues its impressive run at the box office, inching closer to the ₹250 crore milestone. Released on September 27, the film has sustained strong performance despite a drop in its second week. On Day 11, Devara collected ₹4.9 crore, bringing its total domestic earnings to ₹248.65 crore, according to Sacnilk.
The Telugu-language action film, directed by Koratala Siva, saw a slight dip on its second Friday but recovered over the weekend. Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh noted the film’s Hindi version box office numbers, tweeting, “Devara slipped on [second] Friday but made up for it over the weekend… [Week 2] Fri ₹2.40 cr, Sat ₹3.60 cr, Sun ₹4.20 cr. Total: ₹58.47 cr. India biz. Hindi version. Nett BOC.”
Devara stars Jr NTR in a dual role alongside Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Zarina Wahab, and others. It marks the Telugu debut of Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, and was released in multiple languages, including Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.
The film’s strong reception is partly due to its star-studded cast and compelling performances. Saif Ali Khan, who plays a pivotal role, shared his admiration for Jr NTR, describing him as a humble and friendly co-star. “Tarak [Jr NTR] is very easy-going and wears his stardom lightly. We shared some good laughs, and he made me feel comfortable from day one,” said Saif at the trailer launch.
Produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts and presented by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Devara: Part 1 remains a major box office contender as it approaches the ₹250 crore mark. Fans are now eagerly awaiting further updates on the film’s sequel, while the movie enjoys its run ahead of the upcoming Dussehra releases.
