Karnataka Issues Precautionary Advisory to Schools
The Karnataka Health Department has issued a circular instructing government and private schools to remain cautious:
•Students showing symptoms like fever, cough, or cold should not be sent to school.
•Medical advice should be followed strictly for any symptomatic students.
•The move comes amid concerns about low vaccine stock and emerging new variants, though officials have not declared a public health emergency.
Meanwhile US FDA has approved a new lower-dose Moderna COVID-19 vaccine formulation, adding another layer of defense as global health bodies keep a watch on variant-driven surges.
The government urges people to continue observing hygiene protocols and report any symptoms promptly, especially in high-risk zones.
