The Northern Command faces the unique challenge of dealing with two adversaries on the border, coupled with the threat of state-sponsored actors attempting to destabilize internal security.
A defense spokesperson said “Therefore, there is an increasing need to incorporate technologies that ensure the effective use of human resources when dealing with adversaries. The seminar was aimed at further enhancing commanders’ ability to use technology for future technology-intensive battlefields, as well as enable them to lead their men separated in time and space with equal ease and agility”.
He said that current and future conflicts will not be limited to the military, but will be conducted as a nationwide approach where technology will be widely used in the information and physical domains. The seminar will enable Northern Army (Command) to incorporate the technical needs of commanders and find out the latest developments in the technical field of the battlefield.
