An Akasa Air flight en route from Delhi to Bengaluru, carrying 184 people, was forced to return to the Indira Gandhi International Airport on Wednesday following a bomb threat. The flight, designated QP 1335, had 174 passengers, 3 infants, and 7 crew members on board.
The airline issued a statement confirming that the flight received a security alert mid-air, prompting the pilot to declare an emergency. “Akasa Air Emergency Response teams are closely monitoring the situation, and the flight was advised to return to Delhi with abundant precaution,” the spokesperson said.
The flight, which had departed from Delhi, was expected to land safely back at the Indira Gandhi International Airport around 2:00 PM. Emergency procedures were followed, ensuring the safety of everyone on board. Authorities are currently investigating the threat.
