Ahead of International Women’s Day the delegation toured the world’s largest renewable energy park, operated by Adani Green Energy in Khavda, and India’s largest commercial port in Mundra, run by Adani Ports and SEZ Limited. The 30 GW solar and wind energy project in Khavda, covering 538 square kilometers, is designed to be a key pillar in India’s journey toward net-zero emissions.

Envoys from Indonesia, Lithuania, Moldova, Romania, Seychelles, Slovenia, Lesotho, Estonia, and Luxembourg lauded Adani’s commitment to sustainability and technology driven expansion. Several diplomats, including Indonesia’s Ambassador Ina Krisnamurthi and Lithuania’s Diana Mickeviciene, highlighted potential collaborations between their nations and Adani, emphasizing knowledge-sharing in renewable energy and port management.

Moldova’s Ambassador Ana Taban noted that the scale and vision behind the project were particularly impressive, while Romania’s Sena Latif described the visit as eye-opening, especially seeing women engineers leading operations. Luxembourg’s Ambassador Peggy Frantzen appreciated the encouragement of women in the clean energy sector, calling it a strong step toward gender empowerment.

The envoys also toured the Mundra Port, which handles 11% of India’s maritime cargo and 33% of its container traffic. High Commissioner of Seychelles, Lalatiana Accouche, expressed interest in learning from Adani’s port expansion strategies, seeing potential for collaboration with her country. Estonia’s Ambassador Marje Luup praised India’s efficiency in utilizing renewable resources, acknowledging the challenges faced by northern nations with limited sunlight and wind.

Slovenia’s Ambassador Mateja Vodeb Ghosh commended the Adani Foundation’s focus on women’s empowerment, noting the significance of women-led innovation in India’s industrial growth. Across various facilities, the visiting envoys recognized the scale, technological advancements, and sustainable vision of Adani’s projects, positioning India as a global leader in clean energy and infrastructure.
