Minister Anurag Thakur said that shri Narendra modi working on Ambedkar footprints at the launch of the book Ambedkar and Modi: Reformer’s

Ambedkar said that education is the solution to all social ills and today we have personalities before us who exemplify it well, Thakur said, mentioning the names of former President Kovind and President Droupadi Murma in this regard. After being sworn in, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said his government would focus on the poor and marginalized; that his government will function on the concept of antyodaya given by Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, which is not very different from BR Ambedkar’s vision,” Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said at the launch of the book Ambedkar and Modi: Reformer’s. Ideas Performer’s Implementation (BlueKraft Digital Foundation), in New Delhi on Friday.

The book was launched by former President Ram Nath Kovind at the Nehru Memorial Museum & Library Auditorium in the presence of former Chief Justice of India KG Balakrishnan and MoS I&B L Murugan. MoS Culture Arjun Ram Meghwal, former Union Minister Harsh Vardhan, besides a number of BJP leaders and RSS members were also present on the occasion.

Calling the book “not only a collection of the ideas and visions of BR Ambedkar, but also a compilation of how those ideas were implemented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi”, Thakur said, “As the first law minister, Ambedkar envisioned a society free from discrimination… distributing the fruits of development equally to all, but the efforts of various governments since independence have failed to realize these ideas.”

He added, “Many have erected statues of Ambedkar and canvassed votes in his name, but if anyone is realizing his vision for the marginalized, it is PM Modi.” Ambedkar said that education is the solution to all social ills and today we have personalities before us who exemplify it well, Thakur said, mentioning the names of former President Kovind and President Droupadi Murma in this regard.

The book has a foreword by Rajya Sabha MP Ilaiyaraaja, which draws a parallel to the policies introduced by Modi with Ambedkar’s vision. It has 12 chapters divided into areas such as infrastructure, education, socio-economic mobility, gender equality and self-reliance. In his speech, Kovind delved into the multifaceted personality of Ambedkar. Recalling his contributions in the formative years of Independent India, Kovind said, “Baba Saheb’s contributions shaped policies related to banking, irrigation, electricity system, education system, labor management and revenue sharing system.

He recalled the time in 2010 when Modi, as Chief Minister of Gujarat, organized the Samvidhan Gaurav Yatra in the state. “A copy of the Constitution of India was placed on a decorated elephant while CM Modi walked with the people. There is no better example of respect for the Constitution and respect for Baba Saheb Ambedkar,” he said.

Drawing parallels between Ambedkar’s vision and Modi’s policies, Kovind said the new education policy, which emerged from more than two million ideas submitted from across the country, which ensures mother-tongue education, is in line with Ambedkar’s ideas. . “The four labor codes have replaced a host of complex laws and the universal account number for workers are also the realization of Ambedkar’s vision,” he said.

Justice Balakrishnan recalled Ambedkar’s contributions as one of India’s greatest thinkers. Ahead of the event, Balakrishnan and Thakur inaugurated a three-day multimedia exhibition at the venue, focusing on the life, teachings and contributions of Ambedkar, organized by the Central Bureau of Communications. Aiming to provide visitors with an immersive experience, the exhibition includes digital interactive puzzles, RFID-based interactive displays and a flipbook exhibition.
