Russia has no moral right to sit in the Group of 20 nations said by British spokesman

Russia has no moral right to sit in the Group of 20 nations while it continues its invasion of Ukraine, a British Foreign Office spokesman said on Friday. “Russia has no moral right to sit at the G20 while its aggression in Ukraine continues,” the spokesman said.

“We welcome Indonesia’s efforts to ensure that the effects of the Russian war are considered at G20 meetings, as well as indications that Ukraine may be represented at the G20 leaders’ summit by President (Volodymyr) Zelenskiy.” Indonesia will host the summit in November and has announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping will attend.
