Kangana Ranaut, who was at loggerheads with the Maharashtra government led by Shiv Sena of Uddhav Thackeray, congratulated the new Maharashtra minister Eknath Shinde. The actor praised her for her success story – from being an auto-rickshaw driver to being the prime minister of Maharashtra. Commenting on Eknath Shinde’s photo on his Instagram Stories page on Thursday, Kangana wrote, “What an inspiring success story … From driving auto -rickshaw to life to become the most important and powerful people in the world … congratulations sir.”
A few years ago, Kangana had a disagreement with the Uddhav Thackeray government, and criticized him several times on his social media accounts. Kangana had recently responded to Uddhav’s resignation from the post of minister on video on his Instagram. He said in the video, “By 2020, I have said that democracy is a system of beliefs. And those who destroy these beliefs out of greed will be destroyed. Their pride will be shattered. This shows the human condition.”
During the recent political crisis in Maharashtra, his old video criticizing Uddhav for demolishing his new office spread. He had said in the video, “Uddhav Thackeray, what do you think? That you have avenged me by demolishing my house linked to the movie riots? Today my house is demolished, tomorrow your pride will end. That’s all about time. Remember.”
Following the outbreak of political unrest in the province, Uddhav Thackeray resigned as prime minister. The Bharatiya Janata Party has been announced as the new Maharashtra ruling party and has been nominated by EknathShinde as the new CM. Kangana has been a staunch supporter of the BJP.
