Shri Bhupender Yadav, Minister of Labor & Employment and Environment, Forestry and Climate Change, unveiled ‘ESIC Yoga Fortnight’ at ESIC Hospital, Basaidarapur, New Delhi, today. This Yoga Fortnight will end on ‘International Yoga Day’ on 21 June 2022. At the event, all ESC offices and hospitals were connected to the main site via the internet. This year’s theme for World Yoga Day 2022 is “Yoga for Humanity”.
With this team, ESC celebrates ‘Yoga Fortnight’ to promote Yoga among practitioners. In his address at the event, the Union Minister announced that during ‘Yoga Fortnight’, the ESC will organize daily Yoga Camps for staff and dependents in industrial clusters through its 160 ESI Hospitals and Regional and Sub-District Offices 64 Regional. More than 1000 Yoga camps are expected to be organized during the Yoga Fortnight.
Cleanliness Drive will also be conducted in staff / Bastis staff areas as well. All ESC hospitals will run a hygiene program in at least two staff areas / Bastis staff. Special health check-ups and health talks on disease / preventive care will also be arranged at ESI staff hospitals. In his speech, Shri Bhupender Yadav emphasized the need to avoid diseases without medical attention. He went on to say that Yoga is very effective in preventing disease. Doing Yoga every morning keeps the body healthy. To develop traditional and traditional medicine programs, a total of 329 AYUSH units in hospitals and treatment centers under the ESI Scheme operate nationwide, where the insured staff of Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, Homeopathy and Treatment are provided to their dependents. .
