India Drone Festival-2022 will be scheduled for May 27 and May 28 in Pragati Maidan, Delhi. This is going to be the biggest drone festival in the world. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open it. More than 1600 delegates will take part in it on the first day. Amber Dubey, Joint Secretary, Department of Aviation provided this information in an exclusive interview with Zee Business.

At the event, PM Modi will also be flying a drone, said the Secretary-General. Significantly, Narendra Modi will be the world’s first Prime Minister to fly a paid drone at a public event. Apart from that, companies, industries, and provincial governments will be formed, with many central government ministers also taking part in the drone festival, Dubey said.

The Minister of Aviation said PM Modi would also release the prototype for drone taxi. The IIT Madras company in Plane has done it. This is still an example. It can be approved in 2025. With this, there will be a trial with the army first. Drone taxi could knock the Indian sky in 2028-29. The Prime Minister will also address drone manufacturers and drone operators for farmers. In addition to this, he will also be partnering with new drone manufacturers and operational companies including Farming, Fertilizer Spray, Military, Security, Border, Monitoring, Weather, and Afforestation.

There has been a great response to Drone PLI. In the second window, more than 50 companies expressed interest in the 12-month results. The profits of these companies exceeded 250%. In this case more than 20 companies can qualify.
