Akshay Kumar said he did not like the idea of filming the film industry as a southern and northern film industry, adding that Britain had divided and ruled but it seems we have not learned a lesson from that. Akshay prepares to release Prithviraj featuring ManushiChillar, SonuSood and Sanjay Dutt.
Akshay’s new film, Prithviraj, will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on June 3. Directed by ChandraprakashDwivedi, Prithviraj tells the story of Indian King Prithviraj Chauhan. Akshay writes the role of the title.
Responding to a question about linguistic diversity, an Indian Express report quoted Akshay as saying, “I do not believe in diversity. I hate it when someone says the southern industry or the northern industry, we are all the same industry. I think we should stop asking this question. It is important to understand that the English came like this and divided us, attacked us and ruled us. It seems we have not learned our lesson, we do not yet understand this. When we realize that we are all one industry, I think things will start to work out a lot better. ”
He also said, “This word ‘pan-India’ films and all, wohmerisamajhkibaharhai, (I don’t understand it). What I want is for all the films to work, and that’s about it.
Many non-Hindi films have done well throughout India this year. These include KGF Chapter 2, RRR and Pushpa The Rise. Recently, many artists have been debating the status of Hindi as a national language. It all started when Canadian actor Sudeep said Hindi no longer had that status. Ajay Devgn responded angrily to the tweet. that Hindi is the national language.
Speaking about Prithviraj, Akshay had previously told ANI, “It is not uncommon for films to take so much effort and perform such great tasks. Every part of our film based on the life of SamratPrithviraj Chauhan has been discussed with the utmost sincerity, truth and respect. We paid little attention to the details when we made the film because we wanted this to be a glorious account of the life of SamratPrithviraj on the big screen. ”
