Australian national elections are fast approaching, according to a poll on Wednesday, with the ruling coalition narrowing the gap with the opposition Labor Party, three days before the country decides on a new government. -The national coalition dropped to 51-49% in favor of two parties from 54-46% in the past two weeks, a vote in the Sydney Morning Herald showed, while a Guardian poll showed it reached a point of 48%.
