The Department has warned and warned private TV channels against debates in a language that is not in Parliament, provocative and unacceptable in public, public discourses, and defamatory references that may have a negative psychological impact on viewers and may cause social unrest and disrupt general peace.Citing these incidents of violation, the Department today expressed grave concern over the broadcasting programs and strongly advised against violating the provisions of the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995 and its by-laws.
