Apple Expands Vision Pro Availability to International Markets

Apple has announced the expansion of its Vision Pro availability to several international markets. This announcement was made at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024, following the product’s initial release in the US market six months after its introduction at WWDC 2023.

Starting June 28, Apple Vision Pro will be available in China, Japan, and Singapore. Pre-orders in these countries, along with Hong Kong, will go live on Friday, June 14, at 6 am local time. The headset will begin shipping on June 28.

Additionally, customers in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the UK can pre-order the mixed-reality headset at 5 am local time starting June 28, with availability beginning July 12.

Pricing and Storage Variants

In the US, the Apple Vision Pro is priced at $3,499 (approximately Rs. 2,90,000). It is available in three storage variants: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. Apple also offers additional Zeiss Optical Inserts, priced at $99 (approximately Rs. 8,000) for reader lenses and $149 (approximately Rs. 12,000) for prescription lenses.

Purchasing Experience

To enhance the purchasing experience, prospective buyers can book a 30-minute demo session at their local Apple store. This session includes:

•Face Scanning: Using Face ID to ensure a personalized fit.

•Customization: Trying out different loops and light seals for comfort.

•Lens Adjustments: Adjusting to lens inserts for optimal vision.

•Demo of visionOS: Learning the operating system and its capabilities.

•Navigational Training: Getting accustomed to the eye movements, gestures, and voice commands required to navigate the UI.

Apple CEO Tim Cook stated, “The enthusiasm for Apple Vision Pro has been extraordinary, and we are thrilled to introduce the magic of spatial computing to more customers around the world.”

This expansion signifies Apple’s commitment to bringing its innovative spatial computing technology to a global audience, enhancing user interaction and accessibility in various international markets.
