Three people were injured in Sweden

Three people in the Swedish city of Norkoping were in need of medical attention after being shot by police during clashes between police and protesters following the burning of the Quran which sparked riots in several Swedish cities over the Easter weekend. -shows of dangerous wing shows. “Three people appear to have been beaten and are currently being treated at a hospital. All three injured have been arrested on suspicion of criminal activity,” police said in a statement, adding that no one was injured. Police said the Norrkoping situation was calm on Sunday evening. Police and protesters had conflicts over the past days when hundreds of police were injured and many cars were burned.

The violence erupted on Thursday following a protest organized by RasmusPaludan, leader of the Danish political party Hard Line. Paludan, who has been authorized by a series of protests in Sweden over the Easter weekend, is known for burning the Quran.
