 January 23, 2024 Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, along with his son Abhishek Bachchan, visited Ayodhya on Monday to participate in the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla at the Ram Mandir. The iconic actor shared moments from his visit on his blog, along with heartfelt reflections on the spiritual significance of the event.
Amitabh Bachchan posted pictures from inside the Ram Temple, capturing the divine aura of the ceremony. The images include glimpses of Ram Lalla, the temple’s exterior, and Amitabh seeking blessings with folded hands. Dressed in traditional attire and a shawl, the actor’s presence added to the solemnity of the occasion.
In his blog post, Amitabh expressed the profound impact of the day, describing it as “filled with the relevance of divine spirit.” He acknowledged the glory, celebration, and the deep-rooted belief in faith that enveloped the atmosphere during the Pran Pratishtha ceremony. Reflecting on the essence of faith, he remarked, “faith does not possess description,” concluding with the reverent chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Bol Siya Pati Ramchandra ki jai.’
The Bachchan duo also had the opportunity to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during their visit to Ayodhya. Pictures circulated online captured moments of mutual respect, with Amitabh greeting CM Adityanath with folded hands and engaging in conversation.
Interestingly, Amitabh Bachchan recently purchased a 10,000-square-foot plot in Ayodhya. Shanti Bhushan Choubey, the registrar of Ayodhya, confirmed the transaction, stating, “it is a 10,000 square feet plot for which a transaction of ₹9 crore has been done.” This purchase aligns with the actor’s connection to the holy city and his commitment to Ayodhya.
The Pran Pratishtha ceremony witnessed the presence of several other prominent personalities from the film industry, including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Anupam Kher, Kangana Ranaut, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Madhuri Dixit, Subhash Ghai, and Sonu Nigam. Approximately 8,000 invitees, including 1,500-1,600 eminent guests, attended the event, creating a spiritually charged atmosphere marked by army choppers showering petals on the temple.
