Competition Commission of India Approves IMCD India’s Acquisition of Remaining Stake in Signet Excipients

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has granted approval for IMCD India Private Limited to acquire the remaining 30% equity stake in Signet Excipients Private Limited. The acquisition involves IMCD India Private Limited, a subsidiary of IMCD N.V., exercising a call option to acquire the remaining stake.

IMCD India Private Limited, engaged in the sales, marketing, and distribution of specialty chemicals, will enhance its presence in the Indian market through the acquisition.

Signet Excipients is involved in the business of selling, marketing, and distributing excipients used in pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, biotech, food, API products, and related areas. Currently, IMCD and the promoters jointly control Signet Excipients, with IMCD holding 70% of the equity share capital.
