Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ Set to Rewrite Box Office Records with Record Advance Bookings

As the much-anticipated release of Shah Rukh Khan‘s action-packed thriller “Jawan” inches closer, the film is generating unprecedented buzz in the world of Indian cinema. With the first day’s advance booking numbers now pouring in, it appears that “Jawan” is poised to make history by setting all-time records for Hindi movies.

According to Sacnilk.com, early indications suggest that “Jawan” is on the brink of a historic triumph at the box office. Renowned film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan took to Twitter to share some staggering statistics about the film’s pre-release bookings. He revealed that “Jawan” has already sold over 7 lakh tickets in India for its opening day, an extraordinary feat that has set the stage for unparalleled success.

Breaking down the numbers, Vijayabalan reported that national multiplex chains, including PVR, INOX, and CINEPOLIS, have contributed significantly to the film’s advance sales, with a total of 3,10,190 tickets sold, grossing ₹11.98 crore. The film has also made substantial strides in various cities, including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Chennai, where it has amassed a gross of ₹20.06 crore (excluding blocked seats) from a jaw-dropping 7,27,200 tickets sold.

In comparison to previous blockbusters, “Jawan” has raced ahead in terms of advance bookings at national multiplexes. It has surpassed the likes of “Baahubali 2,” “Pathaan,” “KGF Chapter 2,” “War,” “Thugs of Hindostan,” “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo,” “Bharat,” “Sultan,” “Dangal,” and “Brahmastra” to emerge as the top contender.

With a little over two days remaining until its release, and already more than 3 lakh tickets sold for its first day in multiplexes alone, “Jawan” is poised to outshine Aamir Khan’s “Thugs of Hindostan” and Salman Khan’s “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.”

The colossal anticipation surrounding “Jawan” has ignited hopes of it becoming Shah Rukh Khan’s second ₹100 crore opener this year, following the release of “Pathaan.” It is also being touted as a potential ₹1000 crore grosser, further cementing Shah Rukh Khan’s status as the ‘King of Bollywood.’

The film, directed by Atlee and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, boasts an ensemble cast featuring Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, Yogi Babu, and Ridhi Dogra, among others. “Jawan” will grace cinemas in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, promising an electrifying cinematic experience for audiences worldwide.

Amidst the exhilarating pre-release frenzy, Shah Rukh Khan, accompanied by his daughter Suhana Khan, co-star Nayanthara, and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, embarked on a spiritual journey by offering prayers at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirupati, adding a touch of divine blessings to the film’s grand premiere.

With the stage set for “Jawan” to redefine box office records, Shah Rukh Khan’s temple visits and fervent fan excitement add to the anticipation, making it a cinematic spectacle to watch out for.
