Kangana Ranaut says that Koffee With Karan is ‘forever closed’ where she was ‘taunted’ by Sonam Kapoor for her English skills

Kangana Ranaut has said her years of fighting the so-called ‘film mafia’ has ensured at least one thing – that no outsider will be mocked for his English speaking skills. She also said that Koffee With Karan, where Sonam Kapoor mocked her for her English, is now “officially closed forever”.

Kangana Ranaut on Koffee with Karan

Kangana once again took a swipe at Karan Johar and his talk show Koffee With Karan, where she called him nepotism, which marked the beginning of a never-ending tussle between them. On Tuesday night, the actor shared a clip of one of the episodes in which Sonam Kapoor was asked a question about the actor needing to learn to speak English better and she named Kangana in her reply.

In the clip, Karan Johar was seen asking Sonam, “If you have the power to give celebrities these aspects, who would you give it to – the ability to speak fluent English.” Sonam hesitated at first but then went on to praise Kangana’s fashion sense before actually stating her name in response to Karana’s question.

Commenting the same on her Instagram Stories, Kangana said, “What I’ve learned from years of fighting the film mafia is that no outsider will ever be ridiculed for not speaking English…also this show is officially closed forever.”

She further added, “Please don’t miss my comeback at the end. Even at 24 years of age, after being openly bullied, humiliated and ridiculed, I have demonstrated a grace, sophistication, articulateness and humility that English-speaking gossipy aunts with so-called great upbringings never can…”

Kangana Ranaut on Dev Anand

Kangana also shared a clip of legendary actor Dev Anand and revealed, “When I was new to films, one person who often called me and offered me roles in his directorial films was Dev saab…he really appreciated my talent even though I he was struggling.”

Kangana will now be seen as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in her directorial, Emergency. The film is slated to hit theaters on November 24. She also recently revealed the release date of her next film Tejas, in which she plays an air force pilot. It will appear in theaters on October 20.
