Delhi on Wednesday reported seven deaths, the highest so far this year, and registered 1,040 new cases of COVID-19 with a positivity rate of 21.16 percent, according to data shared by the city government’s health department.
The addition of new cases takes the total number of infected in the national capital to 20,36,196, while the death toll rose to 26,613. In three of the seven deaths, Covid was not the primary cause of death, while in two the finding of infection was accidental. Complete case sheets of two more deaths are awaited from hospitals, the ministry said.
The number of active cases in the capital of the Czech Republic is 4,708. Of the total number, 3,384 patients are in home isolation. The new cases came from 4,915 tests, including 3,741 RT-PCR/CBNAAT/True Nat tests, conducted the previous day.
