India in top three markets for Microsoft’s new Bing preview which incorporates ChatGPT

Microsoft launched a new preview of Bing on February 7 with support for ChatGPT. Microsoft led by Indian-American CEO Satya Nadella. ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence chatbot developed by OpenAI and launched in November 2022. India has emerged as one of the top three markets for Microsoft’s new Bing preview, which incorporates ChatGPT and is its biggest market for images, a senior company official said, arguing that the search engine is far superior to its rival Google.

Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft’s corporate vice president and chief consumer marketing officer says “ Search has changed and will continue to change. It’s not going away. Just like when TV came out, radio didn’t go away, but TV got a lot more exciting. The same will happen here. The new AI chat answer capabilities are now even more exciting because they help answer the questions that search it didn’t. And with Bing, we are absolutely unique in that leadership today”.

India is the top market for image creation

India is actually the top market for image creation by number of users.” using this feature which is really nice. One of the things we also announced last week are knowledge cards. So now you can get a richer view of your search. We see Bollywood actor Kiar Advani as the most searched in the knowledge cards with other actors in the Indian market.

Answering a question, he said that the Indian market is very active as people in the country are using many new features that Microsoft has launched recently. The new Bing is getting very positive feedback from its users.

He says “The feedback is mostly positive as people prefer it as a new way to search, not just answers but also the ability to chat and search. That’s an important thing because it makes the difference between us and Google is trying to say that chat has nothing to do with search and they are separate products. We think of it as one integrated product. … We’ve gotten a lot of feedback in the chat about people wanting to use it for more than just search”.

AI work on Google search

People want to do social entertainment and want to be able to talk to an AI chatbot, Mehdi said, adding that Microsoft continues to improve the factual accuracy of the responses because even though it can be very creative, there are still areas where we can do a better job.

Bing with the new AI can respond to complex queries that regular search can’t, we’ve made progress with Bing is that we’re now able to answer these questions, a lot of the questions that Google can’t, because we’re using ChatGPT to enhance … because we’re using artificial intelligence to help. answer the question.

According to him, Google has taken a different approach so far. They have a very separate chat product called Bard that is different from Google search. They haven’t done any AI work on Google search. We brought it right in. So now we have a much better deal for people. And that, in our opinion, is the future of combining search, chat and creation. That’s why our vision is so different from theirs.
