Vivek Agnihotri Responds to Twitter User Who Says He Suffers from a Superiority Complex

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has responded to a Twitter user who claimed that the filmmaker will focus on the government more than doctors and scientists in his upcoming film The Vaccine War. He said he would publicly apologize if the filmmaker proved otherwise. The film will revolve around the story of the coronavirus vaccine in India.

Vivek responded to a Twitter user who wrote, “I am sure you will focus more on the government and ignore the contribution of our scientists and doctors in the film. If I am proven wrong, I will publicly apologize to you.” Responding to the tweet, Vivek wrote, “Please save this tweet. We can have a dinner date on August 15th. And don’t forget to get your wallet @Amitgogia2509.”

A Twitter user also challenged Vivek to make a film like Hate Story, which the filmmaker himself called “erotic”. A user mentioned a viral video in which a teenage girl asks filmmakers why they make erotic films in the name of content, claiming that it leads to crimes against girls as young as 3, 8 or 12 years old. It contained glimpses of Vivk’s old conversation. at the time of the release of Hate Story, in which he spoke about the celebration of the female body.

Responding to the user, Vivek wrote, “I come from an ever-changing, ever-evolving and progressive faith, so once I realized what was wrong with Bollywood, I changed. The user replied to him, “The problem with you @vivekagnihotri is that you think you are always right. Before 2014 you thought you were right and now you think you are right now. It doesn’t work that way. You suffer from a serious superiority complex. Get rid of it as soon as possible. Take care of yourself.”

Vivek is currently filming The Vaccine War. The film is slated to hit theaters on Independence Day 2023 in 11 languages. Talking about the film, he said, “When The Kashmir Files was shelved during the COVID lockdown, I started researching it. Then we started researching with scientists from ICMR & NIV who made our own vaccine possible. Their story of struggle and sacrifice was overwhelming and during research we understood how these scientists waged a war waged against India not only by foreign agencies but even by our own people. Yet we won over the superpowers by making the fastest, cheapest and safest vaccine. I thought this story must be told that every Indian can be proud of his country.’
