Christmas 2022 has fallen on a weekend this time, which means even more hustle and bustle as people head to various holiday destinations before the start of the new year. However, travel plans are changing at the last minute these days in view of the foggy weather and winter frosts that have gripped parts of India, especially the northern Indian belt. As a result, adverse weather conditions and other factors forced Indian Railways to completely or partially cancel as many as 350 trains on Sunday.
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation’s (IRCTC) helpdesk website ‘irctchelp.in’ informed that “the railways has announced the cancellation of several trains due to various reasons”. While 275 trains were completely cancelled, the website noted that nearly 80 trains were partially canceled today.
IRCTC shares complete list of partially or fully canceled trains
Sharing the complete list of fully canceled trains, IRCTC noted that 17 trains arriving or departing from Delhi were completely cancelled, while five of them were partially cancelled. IRCTC said that these lists containing train details include “trains which do not run from source to destination or do not run on part of the route” and people are advised to check them carefully. To check if their trains belong to these lists, users can visit the IRCTC helpdesk website and enter train numbers or station names to find the updated details at the click of a button.
Users can easily find out the current status of their trains and track real-time information in two simple steps. These steps include going to the IRCTC helpdesk website and clicking on the ‘train status’ option visible at the top among other options like timetable, booking etc. The train status options present information about rescheduled or diverted trains, canceled trains and their actual – time information . Users can fill in their train numbers according to the type of query they have and can stay updated about their travel plans.
