Hyderabad police on Wednesday arrested six people involved in the robbery and recovered property worth ₹88 crore, including silver and gold bars, diamond necklaces and two-wheelers. The accused were identified as Syed Sayeed Hussain, Sk Saleem, Awaru Bala Krishna, Syed Mubashir Hussain, Mohd Ghouse Pasha and Mohd Ahaduddin.
The police had earlier arrested five accused, the sixth was absconding. About 30 kg of silver bullion, 2 diamond necklaces, diamonds and gold bars, five two-wheelers along with a knife from them, Hyderabad Deputy Commissioner of Police Radhakishan Rao. According to the police, two of the accused are habitual chain robbers and have been involved in more than 500 robbery cases.
In one case, the accused committed the robbery by rushing to the victim’s vehicle and snatching a bag containing a silver bar. In another robbery case, the city police arrested eight people and recovered cash worth around ₹4,68,000 and recovered four gold bangles, mobile phones and 24 ATM cards. The accused have been identified as Said-ur-Rahman, Mohammed Sanu and Shaik Mahboob.
