Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will address Chintan Shivir of the Home Ministers of the States on 28 October 2022 at around 10:30 am through video conference. Chintan Shivir is being held in Surajkund, Haryana on 27 and 28 October 2022. The Home Ministers and Director Generals of Police (DGP) of the states and Director Generals of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Central Police Organizations (CPOs) also attend Chintan Shivir.
The Chintan Shivir of Home Ministers is an effort to provide a national perspective on policy formulation on matters related to internal security, in line with the Panch Pran announced by the Prime Minister in his Independence Day speech. Shivir, in the spirit of cooperative federalism, will bring greater synergy in planning and coordination among various stakeholders at the central and state levels. Shivir will address issues like modernization of police force, cyber crime management, increased use of IT in criminal justice system, land border management, coastal security, women security, drug trade, among others.
