Days after terrorists shot dead a Kashmiri Pandit in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian, two laborers – hailing from Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh – were killed in a terror attack in Harmen area of āāthe district. ā#Terrorists lobbed a hand grenade at Harmen #Shopian in which two UP laborers namely Monish Kumar and Ram Sagar both residents of Kanooj, UP were injured. They were taken to hospital where they died. The area is sealed,ā the police in the Kashmir zone said in a tweet on Tuesday.
In a subsequent tweet, police said the terrorist who threw the grenade had been arrested. āHybrid #terrorist of banned #terrorist units LET Imran Bashir Ganie of Harmen #Shopian who lobbed a grenade #arrested by Shopian Police. Further #investigations and raids underway,ā the post read.
The victims were asleep at the time of the attack. On October 15, a Kashmiri Pandit, identified as Puran Krishan Bhat, died after being shot at a very close range near his house in Chowdari Gund in this southern part of Kashmir. According to locals, he lived in Shopian and never migrated. “Another kp non-migrant killed in chowdhary gund in shopiyan.” this despite our tweet on 13th October, but nothing has changed at the base.
