The US-India Partnership 2030 Climate and Clean Energy Agenda announced by PM Narendra modi

Shri Hardeep S. Puri, Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Housing and Urban Affairs will lead an official and trade delegation to Washington DC and Houston, USA from 6 to 11 October 2022. In Washington DC, the Honorable Minister will co-chair the US-India Strategic Clean Energy Partnership (USISCEP) Ministerial Dialogue on October 7, 2022 with JE Ms. Jennifer Granholm, Secretary of Energy, US.

The revamped USISCEP was launched in line with the US-India Partnership 2030 Climate and Clean Energy Agenda announced by the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and H.E. President Joe Biden at the Climate Leaders Summit held in April 2021. The partnership continues to advance energy security and innovation; expansion of new clean energy technologies; and deployment of technical solutions through 5 pillars:

  • Responsible Oil and Gas Pillar
  • Energy and Energy Efficiency Pillar
  • Renewable Energy Pillar
  • Sustainable Growth Pillar
  • Emerging Fuels and Technologies.

Honorable Minister, will be communicating with World Bank officials on climate-resilient urban infrastructure. He will also participate in two executive roundtables with the USA India Business Council in Washington D.C. and with the US India Strategic Partnership Forum in Houston. The Honorable Minister will also hold discussions with CEOs of energy companies based in the US.
