NEW DELHI – The Union Budget 2025, presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, has been hailed by the Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) as a transformative step toward economic empowerment and self-reliance. The budget focuses on middle-class relief, farmer support, entrepreneurship, and women’s economic participation while driving key reforms in education, healthcare, and MSMEs.

Shahid Sayeed, MRM’s media head, praised the budget for aligning with the aspirations of India’s 1.4 billion citizens. He highlighted tax relief measures, agricultural investments, and expanded small business loans as key indicators of economic progress. The push for Digital India, with simplified KYC processes, further strengthens financial inclusion.

Prof. Shahid Akhtar, MRM’s national convener, lauded the education sector boost, particularly the 10,000 fellowships under the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship Scheme. Women’s economic independence also took center stage, with Shalini Ali emphasizing the significance of collateral-free loans and workplace safety initiatives for female entrepreneurs.

In the MSME sector, Syed Raza Hussain Rizvi pointed to enhanced financial support for startups and small industries as crucial to India’s self-reliance mission. Meanwhile, Majid Talikoti commended the healthcare initiatives, including duty-free essential medicines, new district cancer care centers, and increased medical college seats.

With a strategic vision for economic growth, digital transformation, and social welfare, Budget 2025 sets the stage for India’s emergence as a global leader in development and self-sufficiency.
