QVC Recalls Over 1 Million Oven Gloves Over Burn Hazard Concerns

December 10, 2024 – More than one million pairs of oven gloves sold by QVC are being recalled after reports revealed a significant burn hazard due to insufficient heat protection. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of approximately 1.1 million “Temp-tations Oven Gloves,” following 162 consumer complaints, including 92 reports of minor burns.

The oven gloves, marketed under the “Temp-tations by Tara” brand, were sold through QVC’s e-commerce site, televised shopping network, and digital platforms between August 2018 and August 2024. Retailing for $4 to $13, the gloves were available in a variety of colors and designs, offered both as single pairs and in sets.
QVC and the CPSC have warned that the gloves fail to provide adequate protection against heat, posing a burn risk. Of the 162 complaints received, 92 involved injuries, though all were classified as minor burns.
Consumers who purchased the affected gloves are urged to stop using them immediately. QVC is offering full refunds to customers who register their recall claims via the official online page.

The Temp-tations Oven Gloves have been a popular kitchen accessory since their introduction in 2018, but this recall highlights significant safety concerns. QVC’s response reflects a commitment to customer safety while addressing the design flaws that led to the hazards.
