Veteran Bollywood actor Satish Kaushik passed away at the age of 67, his best times movies

Veteran Bollywood actor Satish Kaushik passed away at the age of 67. While the cause of death is unknown, his friend Anupam Kher confirmed the news on Twitter.
Satish Chandra Kaushik, who was born on 13 April 1956, was an actor, director, producer, comedian and screenwriter. He graduated from Kirori Mal College and was an alumnus of the National School of Drama and Film and Television Institute of India. He acted in films like Ram Lakhan, Saajan Chale Sasural, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro and became known for his portrayal of Calendar in Shekhar Kapur’s Mr India.
Satish Kaushik rememberd for his unforgettable roles:
‘Calendar khana do!’, this line from the 1987 hit Mr India has different fans. Satish Kaushik in the role of a chef calendar who stole everyone’s hearts. Satish Kaushik has always been remembered as a calendar throughout his career spanning over three decades.
Extremely versatile and always hungry for good roles, Kaushik has shown that he can play any character, black or white. While comedy was his forte, he won his first Filmfare Award for Best Comedian for his role in Ram Lakhan. In the late 1990s, Kaushik did most of his work in films like Saajan Chale Sasural (1996), In the latter, he portrayed the iconic role of Pappu Pagera, which is remembered as Kaushika’s most memorable role after Calendar.
After comedy, Satish Kaushik has also shown that he is as good in serious roles as he is in funny ones. His character in Calcutta Mail (2003) earned him critical acclaim. In addition to acting, he was also known as an acclaimed director. His biggest blockbuster was the Salman Khan starrer Tere Naam. Surprisingly, he also delivered one of Bollywood’s biggest duds – the super expensive 1993 release Roop ki Rani Choron ka Raja. Satish Kaushik’s last film was Chhatriwali in 2023 starring Rakul Preet.
Anupam Kher wrote, “I know that “death is the ultimate truth of this world!” But I never dreamed that I would write this thing about my best friend #SatishKaushik while I am alive. Such a sudden end to a friendship of 45 years !! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH! Om Shanti!”
Kangana Ranaut also tweeted about Satish “I woke up to this terrible news, he was my biggest cheerleader, a very successful actor and director #SatishKaushik ji personally was also a very kind and genuine man, I loved directing him in Emergency. We will miss you Om Shanti”.
Madhur Bhandarkar wrote, “I am so shocked to hear the demise of actor and director Satish Kaushik ji who was always vibrant, energetic and full of life will be greatly missed by the film fraternity and millions of admirers. My condolences to his family.”
Two days before his death, Satish celebrated Holi at Javed Akhtar’s house. He even shared photos of the same on Twitter. Richa Chadha, Mahima Chaudhary, Ali Fazal and others joined him at the party.
