Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files‘ has officially crossed the Rs 200 crore mark, continuing its phenomenal run at the box office. The film, which stars veteran actor Anupam Kher, has grossed Rs 200.13 crore, making it the highest-grossing Hindi film during the COVID-19 epidemic.
Taran Adarsh, an Indian cinema critic and trade analyst, shared the film’s current box office data on his Instagram account.
The opening day of ‘The Kashmir Files,’ which has been breaking box office records, brought in Rs 3.55 crore. On its first Saturday, it saw a surge in attendance, generating Rs 8.50 crore. On its debut Sunday and Monday, the film made even more money, grossing Rs 15.10 crore and Rs 15.05 crore, respectively.
The film grossed Rs 18 crore on its first Tuesday, bringing its total to Rs 60.20 crore. This double-digit figure on a weekday shattered prior Bollywood films’ post-pandemic records.
‘The Kashmir Files’ kept its winning run going with earnings of Rs 19.05 crore on Wednesday, Rs 18.05 crore on Thursday, Rs 19.15 crore on Friday, and Rs 24.80 crore on Saturday. On its second Sunday, the film grossed Rs 26.20 crore, surpassing the Rs 150 crore barrier and bringing its total to Rs 167.45 crore.
The film, which continues to be unstoppable at the box office, earned Rs 12.40 crore on Monday, Rs 10.25 crore on Tuesday, and Rs 10.03 crore on Wednesday, bringing its total to Rs 200 crore.
‘The Kashmir Files’ Cast:
Pallavi Joshi, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumaar, Puneet Issar, Mrinal Kulkarni, and others feature in the hard-hitting drama, which centres around the massacre of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990.
The film has been declared tax-free in several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Tripura, Goa, Haryana, and Uttarakhand.
