Key Observations
Christian Kaelin, chair of Henley & Partners, commented on the growing disparity in global mobility: “The global average number of destinations travelers are able to access visa-free has nearly doubled from 58 in 2006 to 111 in 2024. However, the global mobility gap between those at the top and bottom of the index is now wider than it has ever been.”
For the past 19 years, the Henley Passport Index has been a trusted resource, tracking global travel freedom in 227 countries and territories. Using exclusive data from the IATA, the index remains the most popular tool for displaying, sorting, and ranking the world’s passports, with updates in real-time as visa policies change.
The latest rankings highlight the evolving landscape of global mobility, with Singapore leading the charge and countries like India making steady progress. The Henley Passport Index continues to provide valuable insights into the freedoms and restrictions experienced by travelers worldwide.
