Navi Mumbai Police Arrest Four Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Members for Plotting Attack on Salman Khan

Navi Mumbai – In a major breakthrough, the Navi Mumbai Police on Saturday arrested four members of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who were allegedly planning an attack on Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s car in Panvel. The arrests were part of an ongoing investigation involving 17 individuals linked to the case, including Lawrence Bishnoi, Anmol Bishnoi, Sampat Nehra, and Goldy Brar.

The four individuals arrested by the Mumbai Police have been identified as Dhananjay alias Ajay Kashyap, Gaurav Bhatia alias Nahvi, Waspi Khan alias Wasim Chikna, and Rizwan Khan alias Javed Khan. These arrests were made following an FIR registered against the 17 suspects.

Detailed Planning and Preparation

According to the police, the accused had conducted a reconnaissance of Salman Khan’s house and farmhouse in Panvel with the intention of executing the attack. Ajay Kashyap, one of the arrested individuals, reportedly contacted a person named Dogar in Pakistan via a video call to arrange for weapons, including AK-47s, from the neighboring country.

The police revealed that around 60 to 70 associates of the Lawrence Bishnoi and Sampat Nehra gangs had converged from various locations, including Mumbai, Raigad, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune, and Gujarat, to monitor Salman Khan’s movements. The elaborate plan included the use of minors to carry out the attack and subsequent escape plans involving fleeing India by boat to Sri Lanka from Tamil Nadu’s Kanniyakumari.

Recent Incidents and Arrests

This development comes weeks after an incident where two bike-borne men fired multiple rounds outside Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, where Salman Khan resides. CCTV footage captured one of the men firing towards Khan’s residence on April 14.

Following the shooting incident, two men, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, were arrested in Gujarat. They were believed to have connections with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. A third suspect, Anuj Thapan, was also apprehended in connection with the case in April. However, Thapan died on May 1 inside the toilet of the Mumbai police’s crime branch lock-up, adding another layer of complexity to the ongoing investigation.
