If the NEP is the guiding philosophy, the NCF is the way and this mandate is constitutional – Shri Dharmendra Pradhan

Union Minister of Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan today released the ‘Authority Charter: National Curriculum Development Framework (NCF)’ at an event held at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.

Drs. K. Kasturirangan, Chairperson, National Steering Committee of the National Curriculum Framework, Drs. Ashwathnarayan C. N, Minister of Higher Education, Government of Karnataka, Dr. B. C. Nagesh, Minister of Basic and Secondary Education, Government of Karnataka, Ms. . Anita Karwal, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Department of Education, Government of India, and Professor Dinesh Prasad Saklani, Director, National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) were present at the event.

Speaking at the event, the Minister said the 2020 National Education Policy is ‘Philosophical’, the National Curriculum Framework is ‘the Way’ and the mandate issued today is the ‘Constitution’ to represent the changing needs of the 21st century and certainly. impact on the future. He said the charter would bring about a transformation that focused on the full development of children, emphasizing skills, the important role of teachers, mother-tongue learning, cultural roots. It is also a step towards the removal of colonialism from the Indian education system, he added.

Calling for the preparation of the National Curriculum Framework for the scientific and progressive process and the NCF public document, he called for the creation of an application-based system to allow for NCF proposals for all citizens of our country.

Thanking the experts, scholars and intellectuals for making this a historic day in our Indian knowledge system, he said the Indian education model based on NEP 2020 will serve as a symbol of growing global economies.

During the introductory event Dr. Ashwathnarayan C. N said education was the only way to strengthen and improve the quality of life of national or international citizens. He added that with the NEP, real change had begun and our country was headed for a brighter future.

Drs. Speaking at the conference, B. C. Nagesh said at the conference that the NEP would play a key role in the country’s socio-economic development and that the new education system would also contribute to global welfare.

DrKasturirangan said there was a need for greater flexibility in the education system. The NCF will contribute to the development of an education system that is resilient to changing times and meets the 21st century, he added.

Central to the implementation of the 2020 National Education Policy is a dynamic National Curriculum Framework (NCF) that will empower and empower state-of-the-art teaching and learning, by transforming the vision of NEP 2020 into a reality in our schools and classrooms. The development of the NCF is overseen by the National Steering Committee (NSC), led by Drs. NCF comprises the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCFSE), the National Curriculum Statement for Early Childhood Care (NCFECE), the National Curriculum Statement for Educators (NCFTE), and the National Curriculum Framework for Adult Education (NCFAE).

The ‘Authority Document’ directs the development of the NCF. The Document of Authority is the bridge between NEP 2020 and NCF. Some of the key elements of the National Curriculum Framework, as set out in the mandate, are:

• Describes the development process and features of the NCF, It provides clear and concise anchors for the NCF in the vision, principles, and approach of NEP 2020.

•It sets out the mechanisms for the development of a comprehensive and comprehensive NCF, making full use of the broader ongoing consultations.

• The design process ensures seamless integration – vertically (across all phases) and horizontally (in all subjects in the same Phase) at NEP 2020 – to ensure a holistic, integrated, multi-faceted education

• It empowers the critical linkages between the school curriculum and the Teacher Education curriculum as an integral part of the NEP 2020 targeted changes in the General Education Sector, thus allowing for stronger preparation, continuous professional development, and a better working environment. to all our teachers

• Announce the creation of lifelong learning opportunities for all citizens of the country

• Specifically ‘usable’ and ‘related’ to the most important education stakeholders – teachers, students, parents, and communities across the country – to empower and empower, transform and improve the authenticity of educational practice

• It is validated and informed by sound theory and advanced research, yet simple language with real-life illustrations from classrooms and schools in a variety of contexts.

• Introduce a systematic step-by-step approach from current reality to positive to ensure real progress in education that affects the lives of all.

Extensive national consultation with various stakeholders is possible to develop a National Curriculum Framework:

• Teachers, principals, non-teachers, teachers, parents, community members, students, illiterate, neo literate educators, and education professionals

• Regional consultation at all regions of the country

• More than 700 State Specialist Teams in the Union countries and territories in all subjects

• 25 Teams of national-level experts including international experts

In addition to these consultations, the NCF will also be fully engaged in other programs such as NIPUN Bharat, the national basic literacy policy and the Department of Education’s Numeracy, which are urgently needed as the NCF develops.
