India on Tuesday successfully test fired the Prithvi-II tactical ballistic missile from a test range off the Odisha coast. The Prithvi-II missile has a range of around 350 kilometers.
The Ministry of Defense said the missile hit its target with “high accuracy , a successful practice launch of the Prithvi-II short-range ballistic missile was conducted on January 10 from the Integrated Test Range, Chandipur off Odisha coast”.
The ministry said in a statement “A well-established system, the Prithvi-II missile was an integral part of India’s nuclear deterrent. The missile hit its target with high accuracy, the “user training launch” successfully confirmed all operational and technical parameters of the missile”.
