A fan managed to reach Kohli, as he met with the captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore after fleeing from security officials. After meeting Kohli, the fan quickly ran back, jumped up and raised his fist in the air excitedly, before the security forces escorted him back.
Kohli’s innings, however, did not last long as he was sent off for a second over 7 innings by Prasidh Krishna.Earlier, the unbeaten 106-year-old Jos Buttler, his fourth ton of the season, gave the Rajasthan Royals full power to win seven wickets against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Qualifier-2.
Chasing 158, the Rajasthan Royals got off to a good start as opening scorers YashasviJaiswal and Jos Buttler made a batty bat and hit a partnership of 50 in the first wicket in just 4.3 overs.The 61-run partnership wicket-opener ended up broken as YashasviJaiswal was bowled out for 21 of Josh Hazlewood’s 13 goals. Buttler was unmoved by his team-mates’ dismissal as he continued to score in just over half of the 23-footer. He eventually brought his century to the 17th over of the innings, and once again equaled Kohli’s record of tens of thousands in one IPL season.
