Actor Kangana Ranaut has shared an old clip of filmmaker Karan Johar reacting to her “film mafia” comment, saying he is “not interested in working with her”. On her Instagram Stories, Kangana shared an edited clip consisting of Karan’s remark as well as her reaction.
Kangana wrote “Chacha Chaudhary thanks for these frivolous outpourings as I establish myself as a filmmaker and producer…I’m rubbing it in your face…”
A few years ago, when Kangana was a guest on Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan ho she called “the flag bearer of nepotism” and “the movie mafia”.
In 2017, Karan spoke about Kangana at an event at the London School of Economics. Karan said, “When she said ‘film mafia’, what did she mean? What does she think we are doing? Are we sitting and not giving her work? Does that make us a mafia? No, we are doing it of our own free will. I am doing it because maybe I am not interested in her work.”
The edited clip also had part of Kangana’s speech at the India Today event. She said: “He said I’m out of work and I’m looking for a job with him or something. I mean look at my talent and your movies. Am I serious?”
Kangana ranaut and Karan have made several controversy
Over the past few years, Kangana and Karan have made several comments at each other. Recently, in an interview with Dax Shepherd on his Armchair Expert podcast, actor Priyanka Chopra said, “I’ve been pushed into a corner in the industry. I had people not hiring me, I had beef with people, I’m not good at playing the game, so I was tired of politics and I said I need a break.”
She added: “This music thing gave me an opportunity to go to another part of the world, not to crave movies that I didn’t want to get, but it would require me to clear certain clubs and groups of people. It would require crawling.” and by then I’d been working for so long that I didn’t feel like I wanted to do it.”
Reacting to this, Kangana said on her Instagram Stories, “The truth remains Cruella did us a big favor by bullying and isolating us… PC became a Hollywood star and I produced and directed my own film which is coming out this year. .”
In the tweet thread, Kangana also said, “This annoying, jealous, evil and toxic person should be held accountable for destroying the culture and environment of the film industry, which was never hostile to foreigners during the days of AB or SRK. and mob PR should be raided and prosecuted for harassing foreigners…”
In another post, she mentioned, “The media has written extensively about her breaking up with Karan Johar because of her friendship with SRK and the Cruella film mafia, who are always on the lookout for vulnerable outsiders, saw the perfect punching bag in PC and set out to harass her. the point at which she had to leave India.”
