India’s Space Success Story: Journey of ISRO since independence and How ISRO came into picture and done many major works since 1962

The country became independent in 1947, there were many big challenges in front of the country, one of which was that we could not get enough food grains, then how could we think of something new, but they say that neither enthusiasm nor consciousness can do anything. Due to the attempt to pass, India was now stable because now everything was in our own hands and 1962 was the time in which India not only developed its forces but also took its step towards space and for this the country’s first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru established the Indian National Committee for Space Research (INCOSPAR).

The name of this INCOSPAR was later changed to ‘Indian Space Research Organization’ (ISRO) in the year 1969. Which is one of the 6 largest space agencies in the world today. India had just started in the field of space; other countries Russia and America were ahead in this matter because the tests on their satellites were going on and we still had to learn a lot.

Sarabhai is said to be the father of the modern space program in his country, at that time he had formed a team of capable and excellent scientists, anthropologists, social scientists and thinkers of the country to lead the Indian space program well. Later, INCOSPAR was renamed as ‘Indian Space Research Organization’ (ISRO) in the year 1969 and the Government of India formed the Space Commission in June 1972 and created the Department of Space (DOS) and in Sep 1972 ISRO was brought under the Department of Space. Done.

Now many commendable works done by ISRO:

Where America, Russia, China were ahead of India in this field, independent India took care of its country first and then due to the spirit of “we can do it”, due to the passion and courage of the scientists, India has shown that we are less than anyone. No. in the direction >>>

April 19, 1975, this was the day which was not so easy to achieve for our country, but still there was a passion with the scientists of our country, so that on this day India successfully launched its first satellite ‘Aryabhata’ from the launch center of Russia and Thus India registered its name in the world of space. Even though it was an experimental satellite, yet this satellite opened the initial avenues and dimensions for India in the field of space science. And thus the foundation was laid for a bright future.

On July 18, 1980, ISRO successfully tested SLV-3 and India’s name was included in those countries which could launch their own satellites. Rohini satellite RS-1 was put into orbit by INSAT-1B was launched in the year 1983. It brought many major changes in the field of telecommunication, television broadcasting and weather forecasting in India. The indigenous launch capability got a boost with the successful launch of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) in 1994.

On 22 October 2008, the first mission to the moon by ISRO was the 1380 kg Chandrayaan-1, which reached the lunar surface on 14 November 2008. India became the fourth country to reach the moon. And Chandrayaan-1 only discovered water on the moon.

Now it comes to the matter, which was one of the major achievements of the MOMS mission. In the year 2014, ISRO made India the fourth country to do so by landing Mangalyaan on Mars. 450 crore rupees were spent and India was the only country which got success in sending Mangalyaan to Mars in the very first attempt. It is a matter of February 5, 2017, ISRO made a world record by placing 104 satellites in the orbit of space simultaneously by PSLV-C37.

At the same time, India had to depend on other countries for full rockets, it also ended this problem, ISRO launched the country’s heaviest rocket GSLV MK 3 on 5 June 2017. Now, India prepared its own navigation system GPS system called “GAGAN” and also it explains the success of ISRO in space sector.
