The Hebrew language account recently launched by Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on social media platform X was suspended after just two posts, according to The Jerusalem Post. This account, which he used to issue strong statements against Israel was active for less than 48 hours before being shut down.
The final post, published on Sunday, stated, “The Zionist regime made a mistake, and erred in its calculation regarding Iran. We will make it understand what power, ability, initiative, and desire the Iranian nation has.” This post followed an earlier message posted on Saturday, which opened with the phrase, “In the name of Allah, the merciful.” Both posts came in response to a recent escalation, as Israeli airstrikes targeted Iranian military sites last week.
Khamenei frequently uses his main X account to address Israel, often writing in Hebrew and employing direct language. His latest statements reflect Iran’s continued opposition to Israeli actions, particularly following Israel’s recent strikes on missile manufacturing and air defense facilities in Iran.
Khamenei remarked on his official website that Israel’s airstrikes should neither be exaggerated nor dismissed, according to a reports by our sources. “They’re making a miscalculation concerning Iran,” he noted. “They still haven’t been able to correctly understand the power, capability, ingenuity, and determination of the Iranian people. We need to make them understand these things.”
On Saturday, Iranian state media reported that Israel’s airstrikes on military facilities led to the deaths of two Iranian soldiers. The strikes targeted strategic assets, including missile production sites, surface-to-air missile arrays, and other “aerial capabilities.” Israel’s air force confirmed it had completed its mission, announcing that all its aircraft had safely returned. Iran acknowledged limited damage at military bases in Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam provinces following the attack.
The suspension of Khamenei’s Hebrew-language account comes at a time of heightened tensions between the two nations, with Khamenei maintaining a strong rhetorical stance against Israeli actions.
