Global Focus: The Raksha Mantri noted the great importance of India’s attachment to strategic relations with France

The MRO Center with a direct investment of $ US 150 million in Hyderabad is expected to create 500-600 highly skilled job opportunities. The facility will be able to repair more than 250 engines a year initially.

CEO also briefed Shri Rajnath Singh on their weekly opening program Safran Aircraft Engines and Safran Electrical & Power India Pvt Ltd. – both from Hyderabad and Safran-HAL Aircraft Engines as a joint venture in Bengaluru. Safran Aircraft Engine, Hyderabad, invested at 36 million Euros and located on the 10 hectare Hyderabad SEZ, will produce parts and components of advanced aircraft engines including rotating signs.

Safran Electrical & Power India Pt Ltd will produce harnesses for civilian and combat aircraft. The joint venture between Safran and HAL is for the production of solid pipelines for aircraft engines, including helicopters. The joint venture is expected to employ 160 new highly skilled workers.

The CEO of Safran described his company’s long-term plan for collaborative development and co-production of advanced jet engines and technology transfer as per the existing Government policy of India. He told Shri Rajnath Singh of Safran’s expertise in technology beyond the aircraft engine.

The Raksha Mantri noted the great importance of India’s attachment to strategic relations with France. He welcomed new centers in Hyderabad and a joint venture in Bengaluru. He has invited Safran to co-operative development and co-production projects in India, which are in line with the ‘Make in India, Make for the World’ and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ Government of India. “We are a big market. However, we are very focused on doing in India to address the needs in a competitive manner and provide friendly foreign countries. You can take advantage of all the competitive advantages offered by India, including cost benefits and the availability of qualified staff, ”he said. The Raksha Mantri asserts that both countries can contribute to each other’s potential.
