In his Special Speech as a Guest of Honor at the Solar Decathlon India Awards Ceremony, the Indo-US joint venture for clean energy, Dr. Jitendra Singh urged homeowners, builders, industrialists and professionals to find new, affordable solutions that adapt to India’s climate and needs, to address the worst weather conditions, and reduce the risk to health and property. The Minister also pointed out that Premier Modi extended the full support of Startups and asked them to address the challenges facing the country, including climate change.

Seeing that StartUps in net-zero carbon production was beginning to emerge rapidly in the Indian subcontinent, Dr Jitendra Singh promised all financial support from DST and at the same time urged businesses to come forward with open arms to take such businesses. He said, apart from clean and green buildings, the emphasis on clean transportation, solar water pumps and solar refrigerator, clean grid power, electric vehicles are some of the key areas of a clean Indian ecosystem.

Recognizing the challenge of improving net-zero capacity and net-zero water, Dr Jitendra Singh congratulated the successful participants of Solar Decathlon India for taking on real, live construction projects and developing new solutions. He said, Solar Decathlon India (SDI) is helping to develop the next generation of architects, engineers, and entrepreneurs who can deliver low-cost buildings.

Dr. Jitendra Singh distributed the awards and toured the poster session and made contact with new founders and their expert advisors. He said, Solar Decathlon India is a unique, annual challenge for undergraduate and graduate students from Indian colleges and universities to tackle climate change by developing new, energy-net and zero solutions for the construction industry in India.

Drs. Jitendra Singh said India has made significant progress in addressing climate change, which is one of the biggest challenges facing the global community. He said, at a recent COP26 meeting in Glasgow, the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, unveiled the Panchamrit, India’s five-point climate change agenda. Including 500GW by 2030, 50 percent of its energy needs from renewable energy by 2030, Reducing the proposed carbon emissions by a billion tons from now until 2030, Reducing the carbon offset economy by 45 percent by 2030, more. 2005 rates and targeted gains of zero emissions on the net by 2070.

Drs. S. Chandrasekhar, Secretary, of the Department of Science and Technology said Dr. Jitendra Singh had given DST full authority to photograph carbon and its use. He explained the role of DST leadership in energy efficiency including integrating and supporting R&D in thermal comfort, low power cooling, daylight, architectural design, building automation, and intelligent decision-making systems.

Prasad Vaidya, Director, Solar Decathlon India, said: “With more than 5,00,000 students graduating from the construction industry each year, and with more than 40 billion architecture to be built between now and 2050, India has a unique opportunity to eradicate this virus through violence. . building and constructing large stock of zero buildings. Solar Decathlon India is a place where this opportunity comes together for the real estate industry to explore climate change solutions with students and innovations, and apply the most possible technologies and innovations to their projects. “

Drs. Nandini Kannan, Executive Director, Indo-U.S. The Science and Technology Forum, which highlights Solar Decathlon India, said: “Achieving India’s ambitious climate goals and clean energy goals will require the development of a world-class staff using technology and high-quality R&D to develop innovative, impactful solutions.
