Supporters of former PM Imran Khan attacked the residence of Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif

The arrest of former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan in the Al-Qadir Trust case on Tuesday sparked massive protests between his supporters and police in several cities, leaving at least six dead and several injured. Angry protesters attacked a radio station in Pakistan on Wednesday and supporters clashed with police in the capital, Islamabad.

Supporters of former Prime Minister Imran Khan attacked the residence of Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore on Wednesday, police said. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Supreme Court is likely to hear Imran Khan’s plea challenging the Islamabad High Court’s verdict that his arrest was “legal”.
