Nature Connect Focus: Water: how it is important for human life and for nature earth

Water is one of the world’s most important resources. Without water, life would be impossible. But what makes water so important? Water has a number of unique features that make it an extremely valuable resource. Some such water features are listed below.

• Water is a very good solvent – it has the ability to dissolve many substances.

Boiling and cooling system make it easily accessible to all three regions (solid, liquid, and gas).

• The actual water temperature is too high. This allows the water to absorb and release heat slightly, thus regulating the ambient temperature.

• Because of its clarity, water can allow light to reach the organisms immersed in it. This is essential for plant life in the oceans, lakes and rivers.

• Water is acidic and environmentally friendly. It has a pH of 7, which makes it neutral.

These unique water features, along with their abundance in the earth (approximately 71% of the earth’s surface), make it an important source of plants, animals and humans. In our body, water supplies nutrients to all the cells and oxygen in our brain. Water causes nutrients, proteins, amino acids, glucose and other compounds to be absorbed and absorbed by the body. Toxins and waste are washed away with feces. To control body temperature, water helps.

The Importance of Water for Living Being

• Water is the means by which all the essential vitamins and minerals are transported to the body of living organisms (due to their ability to dissolve biodiversity).

• Water also plays an important role in supporting the activity of enzymes in living things. For example, sodium bicarbonate produced by pancreas is broken down into ions by water, which in turn contains enough alkali to activate enzymes.

• Water helps to maintain body temperature in plants and animals. To reduce their body temperature, animals lose water through sweat and plants lose water through respiration.

• As water can rise through capillary tubes without outside help, it can be transported from tree roots to all parts of the tree.

• Water is an essential part of photosynthesis. Without it, autotrophic plants will not be able to produce their own food.

• Water serves as a habitat for more than 50% of all life on Earth.

The Importance of Water for Human beings

• Dehydration causes severe dehydration, which is often accompanied by kidney failure, fainting, and inflammation of the brain.

• Water helps to improve the circulation of oxygen throughout the body.

• It also plays an important role in digestion.

• Water is the most important part of saliva, which helps break down food.

• Discharge of human waste requires water. Dehydration levels can increase kidney weight, leading to kidney stones formation.

The Role and Function of Water in the ecosystem

Water connects and sustains all ecosystems on earth. The main function of water is to promote plant growth; to provide for the permanent habitat of the species in which they live, or to provide for the temporary or breeding ground for aquatic animals, insects and other aquatic animals; and providing the nutrients and minerals needed to sustain body health. As the most important natural nutrient, humans need water to survive.

Water helps transport oxygen, minerals, nutrients and waste products to and from cells. The digestive system needs water to function properly, and water lubricates the mucous membranes of the respiratory and intestinal tract. In addition to calories, water acts as a metabolic agent and other chemical reactions that produce energy in the body. Water regulates body temperature and acts as a padding between the spine and the brain and between the joints of the skeletal system. The water cycle, or hydrological process, of water, ice, liquid, and water vapor in the entire Earth and its atmosphere. Ecosystems are biological, or biotic communities, as well as chemical and physical, or abiotic, processes that influence their formation. Ecosystem boundaries range from coast to lake, field to forest, or different depths of seawater.

Other Important Water Uses

• If not because of the high direct water temperature, the soil temperature can be very low. This will make life difficult.

• Earth’s ocean water absorbs the sun’s heat during the day and helps maintain a high temperature at night.

• Water is needed for irrigation and is therefore an important part of agriculture.

• It is widely used in cooking operations as it boils at a temperature of 100o

• People use water for many household chores such as bathing and cleaning.

• Water also serves as a transport hub. Most goods are shipped between the continents of the Earth by ship.
