The gross GST revenue collected in the month of September 2022 is ₹1,47,686 crore, of which CGST is ₹25,271 crore, SGST is ₹31,813 crore, IGST is ₹80,464 crore (including ₹1,000,000 from imports) and ₹15,000 from of imports ₹ 10,137 crore (including ₹ 856 crore collected on import of goods).
The government settled ₹31,880 crore on CGST and ₹27,403 crore on SGST from IGST as regular settlement. The total revenue of the Center and States after proper settlement in the month of September 2022 is ₹ 57,151 crore for CGST and ₹ 59,216 crore for SGST.
The revenue for the month of September 2022 is 26% higher than the GST revenue for the same month last year. Revenues from imports of goods were 39% higher during the month and revenues from domestic transactions (including imports of services) were 22% higher than revenues from these sources in the same month last year.
This is the eighth month and the seventh month in a row that the monthly GST revenue has crossed ₹1.4 crore. GST revenue growth to September 2022 compared to the same period last year is 27%, which continues to show very high momentum. During the month of August 2022, 7.7 million e-way vouchers were generated, which was marginally more than 7.5 million in July 2022.
This month witnessed the second highest single day collection of Rs. 49,453 crore on September 20 with the second highest number of 8.77 lakh challans filed, next to Rs. 57,846 crores were collected on 20 July 2022 through 9.58 crore challans which were for year-end returns. This clearly shows that the GST portal managed by GSTN has fully stabilized and is glitch free. Another milestone was also crossed in September when it was on the NIC-operated portal on 30 September 2022.
