Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan, accompanied by White Knight Corps Commander Lt Gen Manjinder Singh, visited forward posts in Rajouri sector of Jammu and Kashmir on 24 October 2022 and celebrated Diwali with soldiers stationed in the front lines. The CDS also laid a wreath at the Naman Sthal, Naushera Sector War Memorial and paid tribute to the brave hearts who laid down their lives in the service of the nation.
General Anil Chauhan was briefed by the field commanders about the current operational situation and security scenario along the Line of Control (LoC). He also reviewed the development of defense infrastructure and operational readiness despite the challenging terrain and weather conditions in the region.
The CDS, while addressing the soldiers, exhorted them to inculcate professionalism and continue the rich tradition of courage and valor of the Indian Army. He also emphasized the need for operational readiness at the highest level. The visit of CDS on the occasion of Diwali acted as a great morale booster for the soldiers deployed at the front in challenging conditions.
