Governance Focus: European business lobby surged Japan to restore visa waiver eligibility for its seven trading partners

Japan businessmen issued a joint statement on Friday calling for a relaxation of border controls, as the country begins to gradually reduce its COVID-19 limits. Where people, goods, money and digital technology can move freely”.

Japan began reopening the tourist slowly on Friday after being banned for more than two years. But guests must be part of a packed tour that is accompanied by directors at all times to ensure compliance with infection controls. Prime Minister Fumio Kishida promised last month that he would bring the Japanese border route, one of the strongest in the world at a time of violence, along with other rich democracies.

A joint statement, signed by the United States and European business companies, has called on Japan to reinstate the visa visa requirements of its seven trading partners and an increase in the daily number of immigrants.
