The Nari Shakti Puraskar is an annual medal awarded by the Ministry of Women and Child Development of the Government of India to individual women or institutions working to achieve the goal of women’s empowerment. is the president of India on International Women’s Day (8 March) at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. The award was established in 1999 under the title Stree Shakti Puraskar, which was renamed and reorganized in 2015. She is awarded in six categories of institutions and two each, with a cash prize of 200,000 and 100,000 rupees, respectively.

Each of the six sections of the institute is named after a prominent woman in Indian history.
• Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Award for the leading non-governmental organization or public sector committed to promoting the well-being and well-being of women. It is named after AhilyabaiHolkar, ruler of the 18th century Malwa dynasty.
• The Kannagi Devi Award for the Marvelous Developed Child Child Sex Ratio (CSR). Named after Kannagi, the central character of the Tamil epic Silapathikaram.
• The Mata Jijabai Award for the city’s leading local organization for providing services and services to women. It is named after Mata Jijabai, the mother of Shivaji, who founded the Maratha Empire in the 17th century.
