“This time we have to disappoint our audience and announce the cancellation of The Entertainers Tour with Akshay Kumar and others. The show was scheduled to take place at the Cure Insurance Arena on March 4, 2023 (sic),” the promoters said in a post on Friday.
“In the spirit of full transparency, the main reason for the cancellation is extremely slow ticket sales for the show, which has resulted in it not being financially viable unless we take some very big losses from the show.” The promoters said those who bought tickets for the New Jersey show would be refunded.
When contacted, Uday Singh Gauri, DCA, said on Monday, “Contrary to the rumours, The Entertainers tour is on track. The team flies to the same one tonight. While the New Jersey show is canceled due to a dispute between the local promoter and the national organizer, the other shows are going on as planned.” Akshay shared the schedule of shows in Atlanta, Dallas, Orlando and Oakland on his Instagram stories.
