Whenever Prime Minister Shri Modi went abroad, apart from meetings he encouraged NRIs by working with them. We are proud of our brothers and sisters who have the ability to feed the world.

Shri Modi called for an independent India and a voice for the locals; in such a situation, those who once flaunted branded foreign pens in their shirt pockets now feel proud to carry bamboo wood pens made by self-help groups. Earlier it was a race to go abroad and get a job, but today many of our young colleagues are proud to start a business or make a living in India itself, leaving lucrative jobs abroad. These changes are a good sign.

Eight years ago, there were only 80-100 agricultural startups, while after he became the Prime Minister, due to Shri Modi’s persistent efforts, today they are more than 2,000, out of which hundreds of them have been given training and financial assistance. under the regime of the Ministry of Agriculture. The central government aims to increase this number to 10,000.

The Union Minister said that the government is committed to developing the technology. The government wants our startups to be useful to the country and the world by solving existing challenges. In this direction, the Ministry of Agriculture along with the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) and other institutions including the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) are working with maximum commitment. Shri Tomar said that it is necessary to popularize the technology, only then people will get its real benefit, just as technology should be available to the common man. Startups should operate by deciding their focus and industry so that farmers can fully benefit from their produce.

Given the growing population of the country and the world, efforts should also be made to ensure food security, especially considering the challenges of climate change. Startups should innovate with vision and determination. Following the Prime Minister’s call, we must be successful in transforming India into a developed country by the centenary year of our independence. Shri Tomar said that the Government of India stood side by side and went step by step with the startups towards this goal.

Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Shri Kailash Choudhary and Sushri Shobha Karandlaje were also present on the occasion. Agriculture Minister Shri Manoj Ahuja and Director General ICAR Dr. also addressed the conclave. Himanshu Pathak.
