Scientists at the Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology, an independent institute of the Department of Science and Technology, have reported for the first time the development of the 52-year-old ice cube from the Central Himalayas, as evidence of ice development during the last and later Glacial Maxima. times have already been reported in many parts of the Central Himalayas.
They found that degraded valleys in arid Himalayan regions were more sensitive to rainfall. The study raises the regional consensus for ice response to climate change since MIS 3.
