Glacial development in Yankti Valley To adapt to climate change research reported

Many researchers have provided information on the ice age in the Central Himalayas through various modern dating methods. Many cases of snow development have been observed in YanktiKuti village in the eastern part of Pithoragarh district, Uttarakhand, since 52 thousand years (MIS 3) associated with climate change, according to a new study.

However, the chronological data of glacial landforms in the Central Himalayas are still limited due to the lack of dating materials in the study areas due to the inaccessibility of these areas. So the correlation between the two major climates: the Indian Monsoon summer and the mid-latitude westerlies and glacier advance remained speculative.

Scientists at the Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology, an independent institute of the Department of Science and Technology, have reported for the first time the development of the 52-year-old ice cube from the Central Himalayas, as evidence of ice development during the last and later Glacial Maxima. times have already been reported in many parts of the Central Himalayas.

They found that degraded valleys in arid Himalayan regions were more sensitive to rainfall. The study raises the regional consensus for ice response to climate change since MIS 3. The study was based on a moderate, climatic disturbance caused by climate change of the North Atlantic millennium scale.

A study published in the journal Quaternary Science Reviews provides strong chronological and weather forecasts that show the amount of ice that is reflected in the height of glacial material (moraine) during MIS 3.The study could help improve existing knowledge of the relationship between the Himalayan climate and the strength of the ice and could help explore the role of the Indian Summer Monsoon (ISM) against western ecosystems.
